Introduction to Thyroid Ultrasound Training Course provides participants a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret thyroid ultrasound examinations. Cervical ultrasound imaging fundamentals, thyroid anatomy, scan techniques, normal sonographic characteristics, evaluation of thyroid nodules, diffuse thyroid disorders and other neck pathology, and recommendations on the management of thyroid nodules are discussed. In addition, ultrasound-guided interventional techniques and case studies are included. This course is taught by leading endocrinology and sonography experts and incorporates comprehensive lectures, interactive case presentations, and extensive hands-on scanning sessions. All hands-on scanning sessions feature a 3:1 participant to expert faculty ratio with standardized patient models and inanimate phantoms. Participants gain improved competence and are able to immediately integrate the skills learned into clinical practice. Each participant also receives scanning checklists for reference purposes and a log of exams performed that may be used for hospital credentialing or POCUS certification purposes.
