These terms cover your use of cmewizard.io (“CME Wizard”, “the site”), run by Viv Web Solutions, 240 Elm St. Floor 2, Somerville, MA 02143. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What CME Wizard is
CME Wizard is a free directory of continuing medical education (CME) activities. We collect listings from the ACCME’s public data and from provider websites, and put them in one searchable place. Signed-in clinicians can also save activities, set preferences and record the CME they complete.
What CME Wizard is not
- We are not a CME provider. We do not run, accredit or award credit for any activity listed here. The provider named on each listing does.
- We are not affiliated with the providers listed unless a listing says so. Provider names and logos belong to their owners.
- Listings can be out of date. Providers change dates, prices, formats and credit amounts without telling us, and our imports run on a schedule. Check the provider to confirm pricing and credits before you register or pay.
- We do not guarantee that any credit will be accepted by your licensing board, certifying board, state or employer. Whether an activity counts for you depends on their rules, not ours. Confirm with them.
- Nothing here is medical advice. Listings describe educational activities. They are not diagnosis, treatment or clinical guidance.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older and a licensed healthcare professional, or in training to become one, to create a clinician account. Provider and employer accounts are for people acting for those organizations.
- Give accurate information and keep it current. One account per person.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@cmewizard.io if you think someone else is using it.
- You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page.
- We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we believe is being used to harm the site or other users.
What you may not do
- Copy, scrape or download the catalog or any large part of it, by hand or with software, or use it to build another product.
- Access the site with bots, crawlers or scripts, or try to get around limits and access controls.
- Enter an NPI, registration number or credential that is not yours.
- Post reviews that are false, that you were paid for, or that are about an activity you did not take.
- Post anything unlawful, abusive, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Interfere with the site or with other people’s use of it.
Your content
Reviews, ratings, collections, completion records and uploaded certificates are yours. By posting them you give us permission to store them and to show them as widely as your visibility setting allows (provider only, signed-in users or everyone), for as long as they are on the site. You are responsible for having the right to post what you post. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Our content
The site, its design, code, text and the way the catalog is organized belong to Viv Web Solutions or our licensors. You may use the site for your own professional purposes. Anything else, including copying or republishing it, needs our written permission. Listing data that comes from providers or the ACCME stays theirs.
Links to other sites
Most listings link to the provider’s own site. When you leave CME Wizard, their terms and privacy policy apply, not ours. We are not responsible for what happens there, including any purchase you make.
Privacy
How we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy. It is part of these terms.
No warranty
The site is free and provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that listings are complete, current or correct, that the site will always work, or that it will meet your needs.
Limit on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Viv Web Solutions is not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on a listing, including credit that is not accepted, a price that turned out to be different, a missed deadline, or an activity that was changed or cancelled by its provider. If we are found liable despite this, our total liability to you is limited to US $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ending these terms
You can stop using the site at any time and delete your account. We can end or suspend your access if you break these terms. The sections on your content, our content, no warranty and limit on our liability continue to apply afterwards.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you agree to that. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protections of your local law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top of the page. If a change matters to you, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Using the site after that means you accept the new terms.
