Elevated Liver Function Test: Next Steps

    Learner’s Digest International (TM)

0.75 credits Open until Aug 2029

A real listing from the directory. Every listing links to the provider’s own registration page.

    How the directory works

If it’s open for registration, it belongs here.

Think of the directories you already use: your profile exists whether or not you claim it.

    1. We find and list your courses

Imported from ACCME’s public registry and refreshed every week, with the title, credits, dates and link ACCME holds for each one.

    2. Claim it and make it yours

One message confirms the profile is yours. From there we correct the details, add what is missing and retire what has closed — with you.

    3. Your learners, your revenue

      Clinicians register on your site

We send them to you. The course, the learner and the revenue stay with you.

    Next: Why claim

Free · one message · live today

Being listed is free. So is claiming.

Send your organization’s name and website. We confirm every claim by hand, then work through your details, your logo and your activity list with you.

Illustration: a real listing from the directory carrying two of the enhancements a claimed profile will be able to add — Free to audit and a discount code. The values are examples.

A real listing; the price, code and counts painted on it are examples. Nothing here will be for sale, everything expires, and none of it describes quality.
    Coming with claimed profiles

Then make the listing work harder.

None will be for sale — each makes the directory more useful to the clinicians searching it, and that is what pushes a course up. Some are set once on your organization, the rest per course.

    1. Fast report You’d pledge it

Illustration: a real listing from the directory with this enhancement painted on it; the values are examples.

You’d pledge how quickly you report earned credit to PARS after a learner finishes. Clinicians chasing a licence or MOC deadline care about this more than almost anything else on the card, and today they have no way to find it out before they enroll.

It describes your organization rather than one course, so it would sit on your profile as well as on every listing you own.

    2. Faculty on the record You’d write it

You’d request an interview, or send a signed note from the course director on why they built the course — the actual reason, not marketing copy. We would publish it, so clinicians can see who they would be learning from before they register.

It is about your people, so the write-up stays on your profile long after the course stops being new.

    3. Free to audit You’d configure it

Illustration: a real listing from the directory with this enhancement painted on it; the values are examples.

You’d let clinicians read the material, watch the lectures and use the resources without an account, and gate only the credit.

It is how a clinician who has never heard of you decides to try you, so the course would rank higher in search and carry the Free to audit badge. Worth doing with at least one course.

      We recommend this one

    4. Discount code You’d declare it

Illustration: a real listing from the directory with this enhancement painted on it; the values are examples.

You’d paste a code and its terms. The card will show the old price struck through, the new price and the live code, and clinicians filtering on price will find it. We are not in the transaction, so there is nothing to take a cut of. Every code expires on the date you set.

Outside CME, most of the lift from a posted discount comes from people who never use the code — it is what gets them to look.†

      Takes a minute

† In a randomized experiment with 12,959 online-retail customers, a posted discount raised the share who visited the store from 20% to 43% and roughly doubled the share who bought — while under 1% redeemed the code. Gopalakrishnan & Park, Marketing Science 40(1), 2021; experiment run in 2016. That is general e-commerce, not CME: there is no CME-specific evidence that discounts drive enrollment, and some findings point the other way. We pitch discounts as a way to get a look, never as “clinicians buy on price”.

    5. Questions answered You’d answer them

Illustration: a real listing from the directory with this enhancement painted on it; the values are examples.

Does this count for my board? How long does it really take? Is the material current? You’d answer the questions clinicians ask before they enroll, in your own words, on the listing.

The card will grow to carry your top question and answer, and the answers will be searchable — so the course turns up for questions your title never matched.

      Best long-term value

    6. New You’d declare it

Illustration: a real listing from the directory with this enhancement painted on it; the values are examples.

You’d declare the course is genuinely new — not simply newly published — and it would carry the New badge while the launch is on. The badge expires; nothing on a card stays new forever.

The post on why it was built goes with it: Faculty on the record.

    7. Bundle price You’d confirm it

Illustration: a real listing from the directory with this enhancement painted on it; the values are examples.

We already capture bundle and series pricing from your own pages, but we hold it back: an unconfirmed price misleads. Confirm yours and it will show in the corner of every course in the bundle.

It matters most to the departments buying for a whole team.

Promoted and Powered The two tiers we would charge for, once they exist.

Promotion and hosted delivery are where we will earn our keep. We are talking with providers now about sponsorship — what it should include and what it should cost. Nothing here has a price or a date yet.

    1. Promoted

Featured placement where your audience is already filtering — specialty pages, search results and alert emails. Packages are being put together now; early partners help shape them.

Placement will not only be for sale. A claimed profile will earn it free with the enhancements above.

    2. Powered You’d switch it on

Illustration: a real listing from the directory with the Take it here button painted on it.

Clinicians would enroll and finish the activity without leaving — through your own LMS or ours. Earned credit would be filed to PARS under your provider account, so it lands in learners’ CME Passport transcripts.

The learners, the credit and the revenue stay yours. It would be something you switch on, never a default — and it says how enrolling works, never that the course is better.

    Next: Questions

    Seven things providers ask

    Before you ask

Why are my courses listed when I never signed up?

For the same reason your clinic shows up on Google without asking to: clinicians search here, and a directory with gaps helps no one. ACCME’s own directory, CME Passport, lists activities automatically once they are registered in PARS. We work the same way.

The reverse happens too — a course of yours may be missing. and we add it.

Can I have a course removed?

Talk to us first. Most removal requests turn out to be a fixable detail — an expired date, a wrong fee, an old title. If a course is closed to registration or listed in error, we take it down.

    What does claiming cost?

Nothing, and it never starts a billing relationship. Promoted placements will be the paid product when they exist — you can ignore them.

Do I have to pay to get promoted?

No. Paid packages will buy reach on top of the enhancements a claimed profile earns; they will not unlock it. What we would charge for.

    How long does claiming take?

We confirm every claim by hand and reply by email. Claiming from an address on your organization’s own domain is the quickest way to prove it’s you.

    How accurate are listings?

Each listing carries the details ACCME holds for the activity — title, credits, dates, link. Spot something off? One message fixes it, or claim your profile and we fix it with you.

Do you host or resell our courses?

No. We are a directory: the course, the registration and the learner relationship stay on your platform. Hosted delivery — “Take it here” — is on the roadmap and will be something you switch on, never a default.
