01/06/2026 – Medical Grand Rounds: Hypertension Update – Mechanisms and Management

Please join us for our next bi-weekly Medicine Grand Rounds with our speakers, Evan Ray, MD, PhD, and Tom Kleyman, MD, from the Renal-Electrolyte Division, who will discuss recent updates in hypertension. Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 1. Analyze newly identified genetic contributions to hypertension and integrate this knowledge into clinical risk assessment. 2. Apply the latest AHA/ACC guidelines to stratify risk for individuals with high blood pressure in clinical practice. 3. Implement Endocrine Society recommendations to screen for primary aldosteronism in patients with hypertension. 4. Evaluate the role of renal artery denervation and incorporate this interventional strategy into the management plan for resistant hypertension when appropriate.
