This presentation features an installment of our “Year in Review” Series. This series highlights practice-changing updates in various medical fields, and in this session, we will hear from our experts in the Endocrinology and Metabolism Division on “Obesity Medicine Year in Review”.
Dr. Noor Khan, MD is core teaching faculty at UPMC Mercy and also serves as the UPMC Obesity Medicine Fellowship Program Assistant Director. She is board certified in Obesity Medicine and Internal Medicine. Her scholarly interests include chronic disease management with lifestyle and improving the practice and teaching of obesity medicine. She has been practicing as a PCP and teaching attending since 2001 at UPMC Mercy and has a separate weight management practice with the CMI group, Complete Primary Care Associates since 2017.
Dr. David Rometo, MD is a Pittsburgh native and graduate from Washington and Jefferson College, attended Case Western Reserve school of medicine, completed residency in internal medicine at University of North Carolina hospitals and endocrine fellowship at Washinton University in St. Louis. He is Clinical Associate professor of medicine and serves as the founder and Unit Leader of the Disease Remission in Obesity Programs (DROP) in the endocrine division, as well as Clinical Director of the UPMC Center for Obesity Medicine, and Program director of the UPMC Obesity Medicine fellowship program.
