A Personal Journey from Transplant Recipient to Advocate

In this session, Robin Tenny, a retired nurse, and liver transplant recipient, will share her inspiring personal story of receiving a successful liver transplant seven years ago. With her training both as a public speaker and with the Global Liver Institute, she has become a passionate advocate for legislation impacting transplant patients. She will discuss the physical, emotional, and psychological dimensions of her transplant journey, as well as her experiences in advocacy for transplant patients in the public sector. Participants will gain valuable insights into the transplant process and the importance of advocacy in improving patient outcomes and support.
