ACP POCUS 6: Deep Venous Thrombosis

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) techniques provide physicians with new and enriched options for assessing anatomy, narrowing differential diagnosis, and making clinical diagnoses at the bedside. This guide provides necessary background information to prepare internists for engagement with hands-on POCUS training for use in the diagnosis of deep venous thrombosis (DVT). This online learning activity presumes that you are already comfortable with the basic information provided in the first component of the ACP POCUS learning series: “ACP POCUS 1: Obtaining Adequate Images for Interpretation.”
