Anticoagulation/Liver Diseases in Primary Care

The goal of this program is to improve anticoagulation outcomes and diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases in primary care. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Select the most effective anticoagulant for patients with atrial fibrillation. 2. Optimize use of dual antiplatelet therapy in patients with drug-eluting stents who are at high risk for bleeding. 3. Compare risk for bleeding using direct oral anticoagulants plus nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) with warfarin plus NSAIDs. 4. Identify patients at high risk of developing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease. 5. Stratify the severity and progression of liver disease using liver stiffness measurement.”
