Because artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly emerging as a powerful tool in many areas, it is essential and urgent that we implement AI in both training and clinical practice in the field of medicine. The AI in Medicine ECHO program is designed to train on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the training and practice of medicine at the University of New Mexico (UNM), with plans to expand across the state of New Mexico. AI and data science will provide an important tool to integrate and strengthen healthcare, education, workforce, and innovation in New Mexico.
