Cardiac Concerns During Noncardiac Surgery/Perfusion Interventions/Recovery After Spine Surgery

The goal of this program is to improve management of cardiac arrhythmia in the patient undergoing noncardiac surgery, use of perfusion interventions during surgery and patient outcomes through understanding of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols in spine surgery. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Use adenosine in management of supraventricular tachycardia. 2. Manage premature ventricular contractions using lidocaine. 3. Differentiate among various perfusion interventions used during surgery. 4. Optimize use of retrograde autologous priming during surgery. 5. Compare outcomes in patients undergoing spine surgery with and without use of ERAS protocols.
