Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia/Urgent Treatment/Complex Endovascular Aneurysm Repair

The goal of this program is to improve evidence-based management of chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI), and utilization of percutaneous axillary access for complex endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Evaluate the findings of the BEST-CLI trial comparing surgical bypass and endovascular therapy for CLTI. 2. Utilize the wound, ischemia, and foot infection classification system to stratify limb threat and guide urgency of intervention. 3. Implement strategies to reduce avoidable amputations in patients with CLTI. 4. Identify patients who would benefit from percutaneous axillary access over traditional femoral access for EVAR. 5. Use appropriate techniques for percutaneous axillary access including ultrasonography-guided entry, sheath insertion, and wire navigation.
