The goal of this program is to improve management of diarrhea and malabsorption and cardiac health in patients with immune-mediated inflammatory disorders (IMIDs). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Cite common causative pathogens of noninflammatory acute and persistent diarrhea. 2. Develop management strategies for traveler diarrhea. 3. Identify common drugs and conditions associated with chronic diarrhea. 4. Summarize the global burden of IMIDs. 5. Review cardiovascular risks in patients with IMIDs.
