Difficult To Treat Anxiety and Depression

When first-line treatments fall short, managing anxiety and depression in primary care can become especially challenging. In this 60-minute session, you’ll explore evidence-based strategies for addressing partial or nonresponse to initial therapies, including when and how to augment or switch medications. Faculty will offer practical guidance on recognizing when to refer for psychiatric consultation or advanced treatments like esketamine and TMS. You’ll also learn how to navigate long-term care hurdles such as adherence, comorbidities, and relapse risk so you can better support your patients through complex, ongoing mental health needs.
