Early Identification and Culturally Responsive Intervention for Native Youth at Risk of or With Early Psychosis Symptoms

This Native American Youth Mental Health ECHO didactic session features a presentation by Steven Adelsheim MD on Key Concepts in Early Psychosis Care, followed by a presentation by Dan Calac, MD on Cultural Considerations in Vulnerable Populations. The information provided in these presentations will help learners recognize the concept and components of clinical high risk and early psychosis programs, list three practical therapeutic approaches for working with youth presenting clinically with early psychosis, and acquire new knowledge in understanding early psychosis within an American Indian and Alaska Native cultural context.
