End-of-Life Issues & Palliative/Hospice Care in Dementia

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to: 1. Describe appropriate identification of conditions that warrant transition to palliative/hospice care models in residents of long term care facilities. 2. Discuss palliative/hospice care strategies to improve quality of life & reduce caregiver burden in the end stage of life in patients with and without appreciable dementia.
