ESFT Model for Improving Adherence and Health Outcomes

Research demonstrates that diverse populations are more likely to encounter barriers to adherence that lead to poorer health outcomes and racial and ethnic disparities. However, developing cross-cultural communication skills have been shown to promote adherence behaviors. This course provides a research-based overview of adherence behaviors and cross-cultural barriers, followed by actionable strategies that include an adherence screening and counseling tool, the ESFT Model , along with interactive case scenarios and exercises for practice.
