This panel will provide an interactive case-based discussion on the otolaryngologic management of hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism. We will highlight key considerations in the clinical evaluation of hypercalcemia in patients presenting to the otolaryngologist with a focus on surgical patient selection to optimize patient outcomes. We will also review surgical considerations for a broad range of hyperparathyroidism cases and discuss preoperative imaging modalities, surgical approaches and the application of nascent near-infrared autofluorescence technology.
