From Data to Decisions: Applying the Latest Evidence for New Targeted Therapies in HER2-Positive Gastroesophageal Adenocarcinoma

The management of esophagogastric adenocarcinoma has evolved substantially with the introduction of effective targeted and immunologic therapies. However, these therapies are appropriate mainly for patients with specific biomarkers, necessitating careful coordination among the multidisciplinary team to ensure proper tissue stewardship and testing, which, in turn, allows for appropriate treatment selection and sequencing as well as the management and mitigation of adverse events. In this webcast, experts in the management of esophagogastric adenocarcinoma discuss recent changes in the standard of care for HER2-positive (HER2+) disease, with a focus on selecting among multiple available options. These points are discussed in the context of patient case scenarios that highlight challenges in the management of HER2+ esophagogastric cancers. This educational activity is an archive of the live virtual symposium held on May 15, 2026.
