Guideline-Based Therapeutics for Hospitalized Patients with SARS-CoV-2 Infection

Hospitalized patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection remain at significant risk of clinical deterioration and death, particularly among those with comorbidities or requiring advanced respiratory support. Despite evolving therapeutic options and published clinical guidelines, real-world implementation of SARS-CoV-2 treatment recommendations remains inconsistent, leading to suboptimal outcomes. Clinicians require up-to-date education on the appropriate use of evidence-based antiviral agents, immunomodulators, and supportive interventions aligned with current guidelines. This CME activity will address the critical need to bridge this gap by empowering healthcare providers to incorporate guideline-recommended SARS-CoV-2 therapies into the management of hospitalized patients. In this first installment of a CME Outfitters Snack series, expert faculty will guide learners to better incorporate guideline-recommended SARS-CoV-2 therapies into the treatment of hospitalized patients to improve clinical outcomes and reduce mortality.
