Harnessing Collective Power: Organizing, Advocacy, and Advancing Equity

The Equitable Professional Societies Learning Network (EPSN) mobilizes organizations representing diverse health care professionals, coordinates learning, and promotes collective action to ensure that everyone has the power, circumstances, and resources to achieve optimal health. This collaborative initiative is convened by the American Medical Association and the Council of Medical Specialty Societies, in partnership with Race Forward and HealthBegins. This video excerpt is from the final learning session of the Equitable Professional Societies Learning Network, titled Harnessing Collective Power: Organizing, Advocacy, and Advancing Equity. In this video, learners will explore how power and community power-building relate to racial and health equity, as well as how to use power-mapping tools to analyze power and identify how it impedes or advances our collective goals.
