Hyponatremia Management/Inpatients Cirrhosis Care

The goal of this program is to improve management of hyponatremia and alcohol-related hepatitis and hepatorenal syndrome in the inpatient setting. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Differentiate between hypovolemic, hypervolemic, and euvolemic hyponatremia. 2. Optimize the management of euvolemic hyponatremia. 3. Review criteria for liver transplantation evaluation for treatment of alcohol-related hepatitis. 4. Evaluate the use of corticosteroids in patients with alcoholrelated hepatitis. 5. Develop strategies for management of hepatorenal syndrome.
