Increasing Living Kidney Donations: Success with Mentorship

Over the past four years, the National Kidney Foundation s Living Donor Support Program, in partnership with the National Kidney Registry, has trained volunteer peer mentors to guide thousands of potential living donors through evaluation. Mentors share education, resources, and personal experiences; over 200 candidates have donated. This session highlights the program s framework and shows how clinicians can engage peer mentorship to support living donor candidates at every stage.
