Keeping Patients in Their Seats: Maximizing Patient Engagement for Adherence

Dialysis is burdensome, a time-suck, uncomfortable, and boring. This session will explore adherence, prevalence of shortening treatment, impact to outcomes, and evoke understanding and awareness of the real reasons patients shorten treatment. Learners can expect to walk away with successful ways to engage patients in their care, effectively help patients gain motivation to pass the time and provide applicable interventions for specific reasons patients shorten their treatment.
