The goal of this program is to improve the diagnosis and management of large bowel obstruction, patient satisfaction through easy access to electronic medical records, and coping with medical malpractice lawsuits After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Diagnose and manage large bowel obstruction. 2. Implement strategies for improving patient and family access to electronic medical records. 3. Identify factors that minimize risk for malpractice lawsuits. 4. Adopt behaviors that are appropriate in the aftermath of catastrophic medical events. 5. Make decisions about fighting malpractice claims vs agreeing to a settlement.
