CAPC: Managing IV Opioids

1. Discuss safe dosing in opioid-naive and opioid-tolerant patients. 2. Describe principles of safe and effective intravenous morphine use based on comprehensive pain assessment. 3. Discuss the steps to safely and effectively manage a pain crisis. 4. Identify hyperalgesia and appropriate management of the condition. 5. Explain patient controlled analgesia and its use in effective pain management.
