Mastering Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation: Why Surgeons Should Do It ? (2025 AMW)

Radiofrequency Ablation of Thyroid and Parathyroid Nodules is a novel technique for managing thyroid nodules. It is being adopted by several institutions across the USA and different medical specialties and can potentially change the management of a significant number of thyroid nodules and benefit patients by not having to undergo hormone replacement therapy or surgical risks. Such technology can deviate the course of management of thyroid nodules away from the Head and Neck surgeon toward endocrinologists, interventional thyrodologists. We need to motivate and educate Otolaryngologists to pursue this treatment option to offer their patients.
