The goal of this activity is for learners, as members of the healthcare team, to understand the unique pharmacology and epidemiologic trends of carfentanil that make it a disproportionate threat in overdose and to apply evidence-based principles for recognizing and managing carfentanil overdose, including naloxone dosing escalation and adjunct interventions.
