Medscape Now! XDR Shigellosis: Closing the Treatment Gap in an Emerging Public Health Threat

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to recognize the clinical and epidemiologic features of extensively drug-resistant (XDR) shigellosis and apply evidence-based diagnostic and coordination strategies including antimicrobial susceptibility testing and interprofessional public health communication to optimize patient outcomes and limit further transmission.
