Monitoring Treatment Success in MASH

Metabolically dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH) is entering a new phase of clinical management with the introduction of disease-modifying therapies such as resmetirom. This CME/CE video expert exchange focuses on translating emerging therapeutic advances into practical strategies for monitoring treatment success in clinical practice. Faculty will discuss how to identify appropriate candidates for therapy, implement guideline-aligned follow-up at key intervals, and integrate noninvasive tools such as FIB-4, VCTE, MRI-PDFF, and multi-biomarker panels into structured monitoring algorithms. The program also addresses challenges in interpreting discordant test results, coordinating care between physicians and advanced practice providers, and maintaining consistent follow-up in busy clinical settings. Through case-based discussions and evidence-informed guidance, participants will learn to evaluate treatment response, optimize therapeutic decisions, and strengthen team-based care to improve long-term outcomes for patients with MASH at risk of disease progression.
