Navigating the Bridge to CAR-T: Conversations and Cases on Individualized Bridging Strategies

This program will provide clinicians with a comprehensive overview of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma, including the latest data on US Food and Drug Administration-approved B-cell maturation antigen-targeting constructs, ciltacabtagene autoleucel and idecabtagene vicleucel. Participants will explore the challenges patients face during the CAR-T manufacturing process, including disease progression and risk of adverse events, and the critical role of bridging therapy in controlling disease and potentially improving post CAR-T outcomes. The program will review current evidence on bridging therapy and discuss strategies for optimizing bridging therapy selection on an individualized patient basis. Additionally, this activity will highlight outstanding gaps in the literature, practical considerations for integrating evolving best practices into clinical care, and expert perspectives on how to navigate these complexities to enhance outcomes for patients receiving CAR-T therapy.
