November 2025 (A): Prevalence of dysphagia after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy: a national propensity score study

1. Compare the incidence of dysphagia after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG). 2. Recognize the temporal trends in development of dysphagia after bariatric surgery, including early and delayed onset patterns. 3. Identify common postoperative etiologies associated with dysphagia following RYGB and LSG, including reflux, stricture, and diaphragmatic hernia. 4. Discuss the implications of bariatric surgery on esophageal function and potential mechanisms underlying postoperative dysphagia.
