Online Child Psychiatry Grand Rounds 2025: EEG Markers of Brain Development: Implications for Understanding Neurodevelopmental Disorders 3.12.2025

An estimated 20 percent of children and adolescents suffer from some type of emotional or behavioral disorder. With the continuing shortage of mental health professionals, access to diagnosis and treatment is a serious problem. Psychiatrists and other types of mental health professionals are unable to provide high-quality care because best practice evidence-based interventions are constantly evolving with emergence of new research. With access to a wide variety of new research on the underlying neurobiology of youth mental health conditions, mental health professionals will be able to explain how new research can be applied to clinical problems.
