Optimizing and Monetizing Perioperative Medicine Clinics/Management of Pediatric Difficult Airways

The goal of this program is to improve patient outcomes through optimization of perioperative medicine clinics while generating revenue and to improve the management of difficult pediatric airways. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Differentiate pre-anesthesia testing from perioperative medicine clinic models. 2. List direct and indirect revenue sources in perioperative clinics. 3. Identify anatomic and patient factors that predict difficult airway management in neonates and infants. 4. Apply strategies to maximize first-attempt success during pediatric tracheal intubation. 5. Implement apneic oxygenation to reduce hypoxia during neonatal and infant intubations.
