Optimizing the ATTR-CM Care Continuum: Earlier Recognition, Evidence-Based Treatment, and Longitudinal Management

Despite advances in the diagnosis and treatment of transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), delays in recognition and treatment initiation remain common, limiting opportunities to improve patient outcomes. Nonspecific clinical presentations, overlapping manifestations with other cardiovascular conditions, and uncertainty surrounding diagnostic pathways contribute to missed or late diagnoses, while the growing body of clinical evidence has made appropriate treatment selection, timing of intervention, and longitudinal management increasingly important.Join this live symposium, offered in conjunction with the American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions 2026, featuring a panel of nationally recognized experts in ATTR-CM. Through interactive, case-based discussions, faculty will examine practical strategies to improve recognition of cardiac and extracardiac red flags, apply efficient diagnostic approaches, and translate emerging clinical evidence into individualized treatment decisions. Participants will explore how disease stage, phenotype, comorbidities, and real-world considerations influence therapy selection, timing of intervention, and ongoing disease monitoring, while learning best practices for coordinating longitudinal multidisciplinary care.Participants will leave with practical strategies to integrate evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic approaches into routine practice and will receive the ATTR-CM Care Pathway Navigator, an expert-developed point-of-care resource designed to support timely recognition, streamlined diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, and longitudinal management of patients with ATTR-CM. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage directly with expert faculty through live polling, audience discussion, and an interactive Q&A session. This event is not part of the official Scientific Sessions as planned by the AHA Committee on Scientific Sessions Programming.
