A live symposium education at European Society For Medical Oncology Congress (ESMO 2026) on 23 – 27 October 2026 to address the clear need to improve the knowledge and competence of HCPs in relation to mCRPC. The symposium will utilize an innovative, highly interactive format in which the faculty (of 2 clinical experts and a patient advocate) and audience explore emerging evidence and contemporary best practices through the lens of patient-centred care. By uniting a patient advocate with a panel of clinical experts, the session will amplify patient voices and impart the ongoing experiences and unmet needs among the real-world population; following this, the clinical faculty will summarise recent data evaluating novel treatment approaches in the 1L management of mCRPC, describing how best practice approaches are evolving based on this evidence. This will provide learners with baseline knowledge to prepare them to engage optimally with the subsequent panel discussion formats, in which the full faculty (including both the patient advocate and clinical experts) will discuss how to individualise treatment approaches upon first progression to mCRPC, as well as further considerations to optimise patient support beyond treatment selection (such as the importance of bone health agents among this population). The ultimate goal of our program is to improve provision of shared decision-making and optimized treatment plans in mCRPC by improving clinician knowledge and competence surrounding treatment selection and sequencing, and empowering them to educate and communicate with patients on these topics.
