Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome/Bariatric Surgery

The goal of this program is to improve management of postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and use of bariatric surgery in obesity treatment. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Recognize the clinical presentation of POTS. 2. Select appropriate investigations for the assessment of POTS. 3. Devise a treatment plan for patients with POTS. 4. Interpret the evolving guidelines for bariatric surgery. 5. Discuss the impact of bariatric surgery on obesity management.
