Practice Measuring BP: Student Edition

Blood pressure (BP) measurement is the most commonly performed medical procedure in clinical practice. As such, it is critical that students in training and health professionals receive ongoing re-training and practice on proper in-office BP measurement. As a follow-up to Measuring BP in Real World Settings: Student Edition, this module includes important reminders on how to overcome the challenges of obtaining accurate BP readings in imperfect clinical settings and practice scenarios on implementing the key steps of measuring BP using various devices. Note to Faculty: Please click on the “Resources” tab above to download a faculty guide for the AMA Student BP Measurement Learning Series. The faculty guide provides a brief overview of the series, suggestions on when to implement each module, and access to cases and assessment materials developed by medical school educators.
