Patients with psychiatric symptoms often present in primary care settings, and thus it is critical that these patients be properly identified and treated. This presentation reviews essential information on screening for psychiatric diagnoses in primary care. The session highlights screening tools used to assess patients for symptoms of common psychiatric diagnoses, such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and ADHD.
