Preventing Brain Aneurysm Ruptures and Saving Lives

Because they are often undetected until rupture, cerebral aneurysms are responsible for high mortality. Further complicating matters, many symptoms that might provide warning can be attributed to other conditions. Fortunately, primary care clinicians can play an important role in the identification and management of brain aneurysms. This session will describe signs, symptoms, and risk factors for aneurysm development, populations who are most vulnerable, and screening and treatment options.
