Preventing Post-ERCP Pancreatitis

The goal of this program is to improve prevention of post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography pancreatitis (PEP). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: Identify patients most suitable for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Weigh benefits vs risks associated with prophylactic pancreatic stent placement to reduce risk for PEP. Cite evidence supporting use of rectal indomethacin to reduce risk for PEP.
