Resus Leadership Academy

Physicians managing critical emergencies and resuscitation often show inconsistencies in applying the latest evidence and advanced techniques, leading to suboptimal patient outcomes in complex scenarios like post-arrest care, shock, ventilation, and neurologic emergencies, despite their strong foundational knowledge. These gaps stem from infrequent integration of updated guidelines, lack of refinement in advanced skills, and inefficient critical decision-making, causing diagnostic delays and suboptimal treatment. To address this, targeted education aims to enhance physicians’ knowledge, competence, and performance, thereby standardizing resuscitation practices. Specifically, this education will enable learners to describe updated guidelines for cardiac arrest and post-arrest care controversies, explain advanced mechanical ventilation and challenging waveforms, recognize initial management steps for critical neurologic emergencies, apply a systematic approach to shock assessment and select appropriate vasopressor and transfusion strategies, and formulate effective management plans for complex resuscitation scenarios.
