Robotic General Surgery/Emergency Preparedness/Direct Intraperitoneal Resuscitation

The goal of this program is to improve the utilization of newer robotic surgical systems in general surgery, disaster preparedness in hospitals with resource-constrained environments, and direct intraperitoneal resuscitation (DPR) in various clinical settings. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Compare performance of the HUGO robotic-assisted surgical system in general surgery with other systems. 2. List factors that negatively impact disaster preparedness in health care. 3. Explain shortages in the health care supply chain and their effect on disaster preparedness. 4. Compare patient outcomes using DPR with use of conventional resuscitation. 5. Cite evidence regarding use of DPR on patients who undergo transplantation.
