Hypoglossal nerve stimulation has been commercially available for the last 11 years. The surgical technique of implantation has become quite refined. Success or failure of therapy depends to a large extent on post implant management. Activation and implant management can be done in different settings. Some implanters manage their own patients post implant. Other implanters partner with sleep medicine physicians to manage these patients. This panel will explore these different management settings and examine the benefits and pitfalls of each.
