This course provides an overview of test indications, proper techniques, and interpretation of results to ensure accurate pulmonary assessment and patient safety. What you will learn: Overview of spirometry and pulmonary function testing; Key spirometric measurements including FVC, FEV1, and FEV1/FVC ratio; How to identify and differentiate obstructive vs. restrictive lung patterns; Proper calibration, equipment maintenance, and infection control practices; Common testing errors and methods for ensuring quality assurance; Clinical indications, contraindications, and patient preparation guidelines; The role of incentive spirometry in rehabilitation and postoperative recovery.
