Summit Rounds: Anton Bowden – Outcomes of the NIH BACPAC Consortium

Dr. Anton Bowden, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at BYU, joins us to present on correlations between spinal motion, chronic low back pain, and MRI findings. The conversation explores how movement patterns relate to spinal health and how emerging wearable sensor technology may provide real-time, quantitative insights into vertebral motion. This innovative approach has the potential to enhance clinical decision-making by combining biomechanical data with imaging and patient history. The data is based on research done by the BACPAC consortium, a collaboration between spine researchers from universities across the United States.
