Time-Out! Troubleshooting Evolving Situations Related to the Integration of Novel Antibody Drug Conjugates into the Management of HER2-Positive Early Breast Cancer

Despite advances in neoadjuvant therapy for patients with HER2-positive early breast cancer (EBC), critical challenges persist that include treatment-related toxicity. A meaningful subset of patients do not achieve pathological complete response, a key predictor of long-term outcomes. Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) have emerged as a potentially transformative class in this space. Already reshaping outcomes in advanced disease, ADCs are now generating momentum in both adjuvant and neoadjuvant settings for patients with HER2-positive EBC. To help facilitate this shift, this activity utilizes a series of Time-Outs, a case-based, microlearning-inspired approach in which leading experts navigate challenging clinical scenarios, pausing at key clinical inflection points to discuss critical nuances and optimal decision-making for patients with HER2-positve EBC. Through this strategy faculty address a variety of important clinical considerations related to integrating ADCs into routine practice for this subset of patients.
