How to be a Hospitalist Opioid Use Disorder Champion: OUD Consult Services

The hospitalist role in providing effective care for patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) has never been more important. In this webinar, we will focus on the creation of OUD consult services. In addition to the structure of these service lines, we will explore the role that culture plays in OUD treatment. Participants will understand how to assess readiness for consult services within their own institutions, develop support and find partners, define metrics, and activate the model. We will also discuss various funding opportunities for these programs. Participants will understand the structure of OUD consult lines, understand the role that culture plays in developing OUD treatment protocols, know the signs of readiness to establish an OUD consult line, and understand the different funding sources for OUD treatment.
