The purpose of this live virtual, application-based training is to prepare managers, interprofessional healthcare teams, and influential leaders to guide staff through any change with a plan that engages staff, builds readiness, manages resistance, fosters ability, and reinforces new evidence-based methodologies. Using resources available in the NCOD SmartChange Toolkit for Managers, this program provides simple, powerful tools tailored specifically for managers/leaders that can be applied to support changes occurring in daily operations. This toolkit supports VHA Change Management model, Prosci , the VHA adopted change management framework, featuring ADKAR and the 3-phase process. Currently, no training exists for the target audience of front line managers/influential leaders. This training will improve awareness and application of the Prosci ADKAR model of Change Management as well as train them to return to their stations and teach the change management course.
