Mastering the Art of Cataract Surgery: Minimizing Post-Op Complications

Cataract surgery is one of the most commonly performed ophthalmic procedures worldwide, yet intraoperative complications such as posterior capsule rupture and zonulopathy remain significant challenges, even for experienced surgeons. These events can negatively impact patient outcomes, surgeon confidence, and overall satisfaction. Despite technological and procedural advances, many ophthalmologists lack structured opportunities to develop evidence-based strategies for managing complications in real time. Additionally, limited emphasis is placed on leveraging video-based learning, peer feedback, and self-review to improve surgical performance. This session addresses these gaps by providing practical, experience-driven education to enhance technical proficiency, optimize complication management, and support lifelong learning in cataract surgery.
