Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is the most common chronic liver disease worldwide, affecting up to 70% of people with diabetes or obesity, yet remains frequently unrecognized. With rapid treatment advances, including two FDA-approved therapies for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), DCES can play a vital role in identifying and managing this cardiometabolic comorbidity. This session provides practical screening strategies, including FIB-4 calculation, evidence-based pharmacologic interventions following current ADA guidelines, and comprehensive diabetes management approaches for people with MASLD. Through case-based application, attendees will gain actionable tools to identify, risk-stratify, and manage MASLD in clinical practice.
